This is the final. I changed the wording. There are still a couple things that aren't perfect but I think its time to put this one to rest.

Detour Cover final finally

So this is my finished Detour cover. Detour is a comic anthology that comes out four or five times a year. This version does not include the artist's names and UPC code. Its a wrap-around so the girl will be on the front and the gorilla will be on the back. It will run fall of 2009 along with pages of my comic that I will be working on next semster.

Dali sockless, I mean, stipple

I woke up today, sockless. I had no idea where my socks had gone, as they were neither in my bed nor beside it. So I put on some socks with sea horses on them, hoping that the group consciousness will more successfully stay on my feet. 

Anyway, this is a Dali Stipple Portrait done in Micron, Spring '08

Here are some details because after how long and arduous this was I'll be damned if you don't get a close up.

anatomy studies

A couple of studies, not from this year. They are both large scale, the first about 3' x 4' the second about 4' x 4.5' I'm guessing. I love anatomy drawings and my anatomical structures class was just reminding me how much. I'll put up some pictures from that class soon too.

Detour cover

This is my first sketch for the detour cover. Its going to be done in collage and maybe pen and ink. Its a girl with her tongue out with the stamps on it spelling out Detour, the name of the publication. 

One finished piece, not in context. Love in the 21st Century was done in watercolor. Two studies. Fly done was in oil stick. Body was done in color conti crayon.

Just a sketch in oils, trying out the medium. I would love to do more in oils.
