These illustrations are for Brandeis University magazine, the current fall issue. The article is about illegitimate adoption companies in third world countries that exploit the money of unknowing Americans to run a black market of stealing and selling children. A couple new pieces and all three of my mailers. uprinting.com is AMAZING and gives you press-ready pdf proofs to print out and approve before you buy the actual product. I have never felt more at ease about how my colors will come out on a printing project. So props to uprinting.com! I'd highly recommend them to anybody and their customer service was fantastic. Yay!

And she didn't even know it. I think I figured out where I'm going with degree project. Its surreal. Not my degree project necessarily, but rather the fact that it feels somewhat feasible if I can get the last three finishes done over break. There are still a couple things I want to change about this image but I want to get them all to 90% before I start detailing any one of them. I'm really happy that I have my sketch done for the layout of the book. Things are making sense in the land of degree project! I

These are the final finals for the Lolita book cover and Johnny Cupcakes. Lolita was done in pen and watercolor and put together digitally. Johnny Cupcakes was done in collage and digital. I'll be putting up work from degree project soon too. Stay tuned.

Detour Cover final finally

So this is my finished Detour cover. Detour is a comic anthology that comes out four or five times a year. This version does not include the artist's names and UPC code. Its a wrap-around so the girl will be on the front and the gorilla will be on the back. It will run fall of 2009 along with pages of my comic that I will be working on next semster.

Dali sockless, I mean, stipple

I woke up today, sockless. I had no idea where my socks had gone, as they were neither in my bed nor beside it. So I put on some socks with sea horses on them, hoping that the group consciousness will more successfully stay on my feet.

A couple of studies, not from this year. They are both large scale, the first about 3' x 4' the second about 4' x 4.5' I'm guessing. I love anatomy drawings and my anatomical structures class was just reminding me how much. I'll put up some pictures from that class soon too.

This is my first sketch for the detour cover. Its going to be done in collage and maybe pen and ink. Its a girl with her tongue out with the stamps on it spelling out Detour, the name of the publication.
